Nicolas Jackson Senegal Footballer

Nicolas Jackson, a professional football player from Senegal, was born on June 20, 2001. He plays as a striker for the Senegal national team and Chelsea, a Premier League team.
Jackson started playing soccer for a local team called ASC Tilene before signing with Casa Sports. During the 2018–19 season, he played for the first team. Jackson joined Villarreal’s Juvenile A team when he signed a contract with the club in September 2019.
Jackson scored the opening goal in Chelsea’s professional debut against CD Castellón on November 28, 2020, in a 1-1 home draw. He agreed to an eight-year contract with the Premier League team on June 30, 2023, for a reported fee of £32 million. He made his Premier League debut for the club on August 13 against Liverpool, drawing 1-1. At Stamford Bridge, on August 25, 2023, Jackson scored his first goal for Chelsea, helping the Blues defeat newly promoted Luton Town 3–0. He scored his second goal for Chelsea in the 1–0 EFL Cup victory over Brighton & Hove Albion. On November 6, Jackson scored twice in the final minute to complete a hat trick in an away victory over Tottenham Hotspur that was 4–1. In the ensuing match against Manchester City, which finished in a 4-4 home draw, he scored again.

Jackson assisted Cole Palmer and scored his tenth Premier League goal on April 15, 2024, in a 6–0 victory over Everton. Since 2017–18, two Chelsea players had not scored ten or more Premier League goals in a single season. Palmer had already led the league in goals with double digits. In Chelsea’s 5-0 home victory over West Ham on May 5, 2024, Jackson scored his first two goals with assistance from Cole Palmer.

Despite the harsh criticism he received during his first season at Chelsea, Jackson still managed to score 14 Premier League goals in 35 games, making him the second-highest African goal scorer in the 2023–24 season, behind only Mohamed Salah.

During his time with Chelsea, he scored 19 goals in friendlies, the Premier League, the FA Cup, the Carabao Cup, and the Premier League Summer Series. Nicolas Jackson also played 5281 minutes and 40 games in the first line this season. He had 8 assists.
